Ichigo Wakaōji (
Character[]
Ichigo is a member of the school's Baton Club and an expert in it, able to teach the other members. She possesses a strong sense of justice, but because she never flatters, she is often misunderstood. She lives in her own world.
Appearance[]
Ichigo has remarkable long brown hair which is tied into two curly pigtails which lie on her shoulders. Her eyes are brown too. She usually has an apathetic look on her face.
As a Sakuragaoka High School student, she is usually seen wearing the school's uniform properly with a long skirt and white socks. Four white pompons are attached to the socks as a decoration.
Etymology[]
- The name Ichigo is written in hiragana (いちご), which has no special meaning. However, when written in kanji (一吾, 一悟, 一護, 一期, 一五 or 苺), it could possibly mean:
- 一吾 - "one" (一) (ichi) and "I, me" (吾) (go).
- 一悟 - "one" (一) (ichi) and "enlightenment" (悟) (go).
- 一護 - "one" (一) (ichi) and "safeguard, protect" (護) (go).
- 一期 - "one" (一) (ichi) and "date, period, term, time" (期) (go).
- 一五 - "one" (一) (ichi) and "five" (五) (go).
- 苺 - "strawberry".
- Ichigo's surname Wakaōji means "young, immature" (若) (waka) and "prince" (王子) (ōji).
