Kano Yamamoto (山本 夏音) is one of the characters of the series K-ON! Shuffle. She is now a third year student that previously went on a year hiatus of the society to practise playing a phrase. She returned to the society one year after she was able to play the phrase.
Character[]
Kano is a quiet hard worker, going so far to spend a year practising a phrase instead of asking for help. She sometimes doesn't understand personal spaces by getting very close to people. She also sometimes overthinks thinks leading to a misunderstanding like thinking Shinano hated her. She plays music with Shinano and Riko.
Appearance[]
Kano has short grey hair with some parts sticking out and dark blue eyes.
She wears the standard high school uniform.
Etymology[]
- The name Kano means "summer" (夏) (ka) and "sound" (音) (no).
- Kano's surname Yamamoto means "mountain, hill" (山) (yama) and "base, root, origin, source" (本) (moto).
- Her surname (Yamamoto) might be taken from the Japanese indie rock Triple Fire band member Yoshiyuki Yamamoto (山本 慶幸 Yamamoto Yoshiyuki)

- Kano is the one who founded the Light Music Club (Appreciation Society back then) back in her first year
- She is scared of playing in front of people
- She and Kaede live in the same neighbourhood and Kaede calls her over often
