The episode starts 10 days before New Year's Eve. Ritsu is invited by her and Mio's middle school friend Maki to perform in a live house with her band and asks the other members of the Light Music Club if they are willing to perform there. Yui and Tsumugi are totally up for it, but Mio and Azusa struggle with the idea until Tsumugi manages to convince them.
After school, the band pays the live house a visit and discusses the conditions and details of the performance with the manager Kawakami. After everything is sorted, they are shown around the venue by the manager. At Yui's home, the band informs Ui about the concert and invite her and her friend Jun to it. The next day at school, Yui and Mio also invite Nodoka to come along.
The day of the concert finally arrives and the band meets at the live house. Going inside, everyone is initially intimidated by the other present bands Love Crysis and Death Bang Bang Chicken, who appear hostile and scary. This turns out to be untrue however, as everybody greets them normally. Maki recognizes Ritsu and Mio and introduces her band member Aya to them, who is a big fan of Mio and Yui.
After Aya and Maki go back to their band member Shiho, Yui is inspired by Love Crysis' CD to come up with a band logo of her own and invents the logo of a teacup, fitting to the name and guiding theme of HTT.
Shortly afterwards, the band receives their backstage passes and start to fill their settings sheet. Clueless about how to fill it in, Yui asks Death Bang Bang Chicken for help. While everybody admires the professionalism of the other bands around them, Yui starts to be overwhelmed by almost everything she sees, so the others take her aside out of embarrassment. Since Yui can't seem to calm down, Tsumugi suggests having tea. The other bands eventually join as well and Ho-Kago Tea Time learns more about them. The band becomes a bit too relaxed, however, and their rehearsal time arrives before they're ready.
The rehearsal gets off to a chaotic start when Yui forgets to sing and accidentally headbutts the microphone before falling over. The other band members try to help her, but Mio and Tsumugi end up tripping and falling down as well. Frozen in shame, the band doesn't know what to do, but the other bands encourage the girls to try again, as such accidents are normal for beginners. Emboldened with the desire not to mess up the performance for themselves or the other bands, HTT starts to rehearse again with new confidence.
An hour before the concert starts, Yui meets with Ui, Jun and Nodoka who all came to see the performance. The adviser of the Light Music Club, Sawako Yamanaka, visits the live house as well and meets with her old friend Kawakami after a long time. Both watch Ho-Kago Tea Time perform "Fuwa Fuwa Time".
After the concert ends successfully, Ho-Kago Tea Time thanks Love Crysis for the support and goes to Yui's home to celebrate New Year's Eve with Sawako. Yui, Ui, Tsumugi, Azusa and Sawako fall asleep seconds before the new year starts, much to the anger of Ritsu.
A few hours later, Yui wakes up her bandmates and drags them to her "special place" to see the first sunrise of the new year with them together.
