- Nodoka has the same family name (spelled with the same kanji) as Yoshiaki Manabe, the lead guitarist of the rock band The Pillows.
- She is the only main character that doesn't have musical knowledge or experience.
- She is also the only main character never seen in a swimsuit, nor nude (meaning, in bath scenes).
- The kanji for Nodoka's first name (和) means "peace", "harmony" or "sum". The kanji for "Manabe" (真鍋) respectively mean "truth" and "pot".
