Shuffle Volume 1, Chapter 3 is a chapter of the first Volume of the K-ON! Shuffle Manga by Kakifly.
Summary[]
While Maho is at the Basketball club, she is distracted thinking about how big of a role the guitar is in a band before being hit by Karin's ball. After Karin apologised, gave her a towel to sort her nose-bleed out and made a joke that Maho was thinking of something lewd, it's revealed Maho has a injured leg and is standing off to the side. She then points out Karin didn't do a screen.
On another day, Maho wakes up from a dream where another Maho was telling her she is hopeless, can't study or play basketball and wouldn't be able to handle a guitar. Later at school, Yukari and Kaede are discussing which bass Kaede could get. Maho is still distracted while Kaede thought she was trying to take the bass position from her.
After Maho points out if it's a good idea to get instruments based on looks, Riko then explains about the variety of a bass like the necks, thickness and weight, while also agreeing with Yukari that going by looks is still a valid way to choose. After Riko asks if Maho has picked a guitar yet, Maho quickly excuses herself for the day and leaves.
While Maho is feeling down and crying in her bed, Yukari and Maho burst in with Yukari asking if joining the club is causing her trouble and apologising. Before asking if she would want to leave the society, Maho interrupts revealing she's worried if she messes up it causes issues for everyone with Yukari then comforting Maho. Kaede then says that she doesn't want Maho to quit while also calling her by her given name, Maho, for the first time.
Maho reveals she had a bad habit of overthinking with Yukari saying it was thanks to her thinking they got to join the society and Kaede feeling she would be the one to hold everyone back. Maho happily announces she wants to play the guitar and also a bit embarrassed that she feels she showed her pathetic side, before happily realizing that Kaede had caller her by her given name while Kaede is confused by this. When Yukari mentions she's been calling her by her first name too, she gives a regular reaction. She then calls them by their given names, Kaede and Yukari, announcing she looks forward to playing in a band with them before then being hug attacked by them.
On another day, Karin realizes Maho's leg is now better with Maho stating a lot of issues got resolved. She then tells Karin she's going to put her through a very thorough training.
