Shuffle Volume 1, Chapter 4 is a chapter of the first Volume of the K-ON! Shuffle Manga by Kakifly.
Summary[]
During lunch Maho and Kaede talk about the bass Kaede wants before Yukari interrupts that her big sister, Kurumi, was being mean. After being told to talk about it later she starts drumming to get their attention.
She talks about how Kurumi walked in on her practising and thought it was a wind-up toy routine. Kurumi mentions how her movements looked mechanical and showed how to properly use a drum stick due to her hands being more relaxed. Kurumi then mentions that she thought Yukari was practising Morse code and gets told to leave Yukari's room. Just before leaving, Yukari offers the continuation of the manga Kurumi borrowed without asking only for her to say she doesn't need it because it was boring.
Maho thinks Yukari is strange and Kaede says she is good at everything. Yukari mentions she wants to get back at het sister so all that Kurumi can say is "...". Kaede and Yukari then wonder if people can actually say "..." before then transitioning to what a sounds certain dog breeds would say with Maho asking for them to return to the original topic.
Karin then storms after finding Maho and asking why she didn't eat her bento with her today. Maho tells her she texted her she's having lunch with the society girls. After Karin realized she did she mentions all she can say is "..." while Yukari and Kaede are speechless she actually said it. After Karin is introduced to them, she is asked to leave because they're trying to pick which instruments to buy. Karin then mentions it would probably be better to ask the guy at the music store.
Karin comes along because it sounds like fun and head to the music store while Kaede and Maho are nervous. Karin is amazed with the many displays, Yukari notices the price of one guitar at 600,000 yen and Maho is nervous she'll knock one of the floor displays over before rejecting the Music Store Guy's help.
Karin then asks the Music Store Guy for a Guitar and Bass and that they have no experience. While walking towards the entry model corner Maho notices a PRS SE Custom 24 guitar thinking it's cute but is priced at 86,940 yen. Kaede is suggested a Squier Jazz bass and with it priced at a little over 50,000 yen is able to buy it from her saved allowance.
Karin, Yukari and Kaede notice Maho wants that guitar. Maho feels a bit guilty because Kaede bought her bass based off being traditional while Maho went for the looks even though Kaede told her not to worry about it and buy what she wants. Maho decides she wants to buy the guitar but isn't sure what she's going to do to get enough.
