Shuffle Volume 1, Chapter 5 is a chapter of the first Volume of the K-ON! Shuffle Manga by Kakifly.
Summary[]
Riko comments on how Kaede's bass looks cool with Yukari mentioning that because she is short she jealous of Kaede for being so tall. Kaede then quickly lifts Yukari up with her getting nervous. After Kaede rushes to try play a note she gets an applause from Yukari and Riko leaving her happy. Kaede mentions her fingers still hurt while trying to use hold the string. Riko explains the challenges and how over time you'll better with her then denying Yukari's question of if she has ever played an instrument before.
Kaede notices Maho sad due to her not having her own guitar yet and puts her bass away until she gets the guitar. Riko mentions the guitar is quite expensive and after Maho goes over why she wants the guitar she quickly thinks of buying a lottery ticket before Yukari stops her.
Yukari asks Riko why guitars are expensive with her explaining about expensive ones being carefully hand made to make playing easier, but this goes over Yukari's head. She then states that Riko does have experience with music before being cut off with Riko denying it again. Riko tries to help Maho by telling her to get the guitar she wants, which is still the same one she wants to buy. She then wonders if an oil tycoon will suddenly appear next to her and give her 90,000 yen with Yukari commenting that being a cheap oil tycoon.
At Yukari's house, Yukari and Kaede wonder how they can help Maho. Kurumi adds in about the potato chips they're eating being good before Yukari then realizes she's just appeared, acting like she's been apart of the conversation and didn't knock. Kurumi ignores Yukari and greets Kaede noticing she's gotten taller again. They then explain the situation to Kurumi with her then telling Yukari to give Maho 80,000 yen because she is partly the reason why she joined. Kaede then tackles Kurumi explaining that Maho said herself she wanted to help the society. Kurumi then understands and apologies to Kaede with Yukari demanding an apology to. Kurumi then mentions that they can only do what they can and sitting there won't do anything. Yukari tells Kurumi to stop trying to look cool and tells her to leave her room. Just before she leaves she remembers something, and knocks on Yukari's door annoying her.
Back at school Maho is still sad with Kaede trying to offer what little she has in her piggy bank. Yukari then hands Maho a piece of paper about taking out a loan to buy the guitar but needs her parents due to still being in High School. Maho then comments there isn't much point when she can just pay for it in one go with her. After Yukari questions her she says she has enough money to pay for it due to saving her New Year's gift money and what not for when she starts living on her own. After whispering the unknown amount to Kaede and Yukari they are surprised as buying the guitar wouldn't make much difference. Maho then buys the guitar and thanks Yukari and Kaede for the ideas, but then starts worrying she's going to need to start saving up her allowance with Yukari telling her she'll be fine.

- This chapter published the same month the Kirara Exhibition took place, where one newly drawn colour page of the original characters from K-ON! could be read along with brand new artwork of them.
- Also a two page non colour chapter of the original characters from K-ON! was released for Manga Time Kirara's 15th Anniversary
