Summary[]
In the cafeteria, Yukari is eating some udon and mentions how they're always delicious. Maho suddenly praises Yukari that she has gotten better at the drums. This leaves Yukari speechless and spills soup on her uniform. Maho questions what is wrong with her, while Yukari blames it on Maho for suddenly praising her. Yukari is astonished that Maho would praise someone, with Maho butting in saying she does praise people. Yukari is worried that something bad will rain down from the sky tomorrow and Maho questions if it is really that rare. Kaede wonders what could rain down and Yukari says laundry detergent. Maho mentions how she would get covered in lather then suddenly Yukari corrects her and says that she'd be in a lather after getting covered in lather. Maho tells her to stop and how she wasn't trying to make a make. She tells Yukari how she just had the random thought about Yukari improving on the drums. Yukari tells her to wait a moment. She pulls out her phone and tells Maho to praise her again now that she is recording and Maho annoyed and still questioning if it's really that rare.
Maho then praises Kaede about her bass playing improvement, which Kaede asks and gets petted by Maho. Yukari mentions how she feels like she now understands what Riko teaches her and Kaede adds that she gets to listen to Kano play bass everyday. This leaves Maho wondering why Shinano doesn't teach her anything.
At the society, Maho is staring and Shinano, which leaves her asking what is it. Maho asks what the secret to playing the F chord is and Shinano replies "Guts!!". Maho cries out asking why she won't teach her properly. Shinano is really able to answer. Maho wonders if it's because she sucks, but Shinano tells her they're all beginners when they start. Maho runs out the room crying, while Yukari and Riko say in one voice how it's all her fault. Shinano is teary saying she can't help it and that to play an instrument so much like it's a part of your body, you do need guts. Riko scolds her for not telling all of that at first. Kano adds in that Maho relies on Shinano and asks that she be nice to her. Yukari and Shinano deny that in one voice, with Kano noticing.
Shinano ends up finding Kaede at the basket ball hall. Maho questions why she came here, but she grab her hands and puts theirs together. Maho nervously wondering what this is all about. Shinano replies how she has small hands compared to Maho. She adds that when starting she couldn't make any progress, however Maho is stuck up on the fact that she is taller than Shinano but has bigger hands. Shinano quickly tries to comfort her that her hands are extra small, while Maho's hand are normal, cute and little.
Shinano tells her she still can't play some chords today because of it and explains she handles it by cheating with power chords. Maho says that she can do that due to her amazing guitarist skills. Shinano tells her that she is becoming an amazing guitarist herself, which leaves Maho wanting to know why she didn't tell her that before and Shinano apologising for it. Maho asks Shinano if she has ever felt like giving up because playing guitar is too hard, which Shinano reveals she did many times and even once not playing for half a year. Maho is stunned, while Shinano continues how you can just quit if you don't like it as it isn't a part of the school curriculum. However, she always comes back to it. Shinano asks if Maho likes music, which she agrees she does and feels she was pig-headed and wants to apologies. Shinano tells her she doesn't have to apologies as music accepts everyone including serious people like Maho and idiots like herself. Maho ends up understanding. The next day Riko notices how Maho and Shinano have made up. Maho asks Shinano again how to play the F chord and Shinano replies to play it the easy way. This annoys Maho and she says she wants to play it how it's described in the textbook, but Shinano tells her she is taking it too seriously. Kano questions if they actually made up.
