Summary[]
At the end of class, Yukari excitedly tells Maho for them to go to the Society. She is also excited they managed to be in the same class again this year, with Maho adding how Hikarigaoka High doesn't have many students. So as long as they're in the same course they'll be fine. Yukari teases Maho asking if that makes her happy, while Kaede wonders if Risa and Ranka will show up today. Maho is immediately serious mentioning how they can't let themselves be complacent with them and Yukari wonder what she means by that. Maho explains how she thinks Risa has a gyaru feel, with her not looking serious as well as not properly wearing her uniform. She further explains that she feels Ranka doesn't care about anything and both may not be proper members. Kaede tells Maho off for judging them by their appearance with Maho apologising and Yukari thinking of just leaving Maho to Kaede. Maho apologies again about how she over thinks stuff, but Yukari agrees where she is coming from.
As soon as they enter the Society, Risa greets them as "Senpais" with Yukari and Maho overcome with emotion and Kaede a bit more oblivious. Yukari is surprised Risa and Ranka are early with Risa mentioning how she couldn't wait to get it and addressing them by their instrument "Drummer-senpai!, Bassist-Senpai and Guitarist-Senpai!". Maho is also surprised Risa remembers that with Risa again mentioning how they was so cool during the concert, which causes Yukari and Maho again to be overcome with emotion and Kaede oblivious. Yukari and the others then introduce themselves but Risa calls or says it slightly differently "Yukarin-Senpai!, Maho-Senpa~i! and Kae-Chan-Senpai!". Yukari is amazed she understands Kaede is called Kae-Chan and Risa explains how Kaede has a Kae-Chan feeling. This leaves Maho thinking how a gyaru getting close to people can be scary. Yukari greets Ranka about being a member, but she unexcitedly greets her back. Maho whispers to Yukari that she feels like Ranka only joined because of Risa. Yukari tells her to leave it to her and she starts to talking and asking questions to Ranka, which leaves Maho thinking again how Yukari's communication skills are something as well. Yukari then offers Ranka to try playing Maho's guitar. Ranka holds it for a few seconds and Yukari asking if she is interested. Ranka then excuses herself for today and Risa going with, making Yukari worry if she came on too strong.
At Kabazeriya, Maho brings up about Ranka being a challenge and she may be the factor if Risa joins or not. Yukari wants to believe in Ranka and decides she will call Risa. This leaves Maho confused wonder what she means by that. However, Yukari reveals they've already exchanged contacts, which leaves Maho shocked at their communication skills. While on the phone Maho immediately notices Yukari and Risa are already on first name basis. Yukari asks Risa if Ranka is interested in the Society. Risa replies that Ranka may seem quiet, but is actually really cute. This annoys Maho with that not being the subject. Risa then asks when Yukari and her will go to karaoke, which leaves Maho really confused and annoyed and questions how they got so friendly already.
A week has gone by with Risa and Ranka not showing up. Kaede is sad and Maho mentions she isn't surprised but it still being a shame. Risa and Ranka then walk in with Yukari happy and Maho mentioning it's been a while. Risa reveals they never learned what days the Society's activities are on, which Yukari realizes they never told them. Yukari and Maho notice guitar case on Ranka's back, which she explains she doesn't know much about bands, but they looked very cool in the concert. She also reveals she wants to play guitar like Maho, so she bought a guitar with her New Year's money. Risa brings up that she will be the vocalist which leaves them thinking how determined she is.
